Sauna Warranty: What's Not Covered
Your Psycle Sauna will provide years of use with proper care and maintenance. However, this warranty does not cover:
1. Normal Wear and Timber Characteristics
-
Fading, weathering, or colour variation in timber due to natural exposure.
-
Minor cracking, peeling, blistering, or surface stains from normal use.
-
Timber resin formation from the natural timber acclimation process.
2. Timber Construction and Water Resistance
Psycle saunas are constructed from natural timber using traditional Finnish design principles. Timber is a natural, breathable material, and a Psycle sauna is not a sealed, watertight, or waterproof structure. It is engineered to tolerate the heat, steam, humidity, and incidental moisture generated through normal sauna use, including ladle water, perspiration, and condensation.
Because timber naturally expands, contracts, and breathes with changes in temperature and humidity, minor water ingress, surface dampness, condensation, or small amounts of moisture penetrating joints, seams, or the cabin interior is a normal and expected characteristic of a timber sauna. Any such minor water ingress or moisture inside the cabin does not constitute a defect, fault, or failure of the product and does not substantiate a warranty claim.
This warranty does not cover, and Psycle Group accepts no liability for, water ingress, dampness, condensation, or moisture-related effects arising from the natural permeability and movement of timber, nor for any consequential effects of that moisture. The customer is responsible for ensuring the sauna is installed in a suitable, well-drained location and is adequately protected from sustained, pooling, or direct water exposure.
For clarity, this clause applies to normal minor moisture and incidental water ingress only. It does not exclude a genuine manufacturing defect in the timber or joinery, such as a structurally split panel or a failed mechanical or glued joint, which will be assessed on its merits in accordance with this warranty and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
3. Outdoor Installation and Mandatory Roof Kit
Psycle saunas are timber structures and are not designed or rated for unprotected outdoor exposure. Any Psycle sauna installed in an outdoor, uncovered, or otherwise weather-exposed location must be fitted with a genuine Psycle Outdoor Roof Kit. The roof kit is sold separately and must be purchased and correctly installed at the time the sauna is installed outdoors.
Installing a Psycle sauna in an outdoor or uncovered space without a genuine Psycle Outdoor Roof Kit fitted will void this warranty in full. Any damage of any kind arising from outdoor exposure without an approved roof kit, including but not limited to water damage, timber swelling, warping, splitting, mould, surface degradation, electrical faults, and component failure, is not covered under any circumstances.
4. Handling and Relocation
-
Damage during relocation or delivery performed by anyone other than a Psycle-approved technician.
-
Damage from improper installation or movement after setup.
5. Timber and Cabinetry Maintenance
-
Damage caused by neglecting timber treatment (failure to apply protective oil every 6 to 12 months).
-
Damage from excessive moisture, poor ventilation, or exposure to outdoor conditions without a Psycle roof kit.
-
Structural timber claims where the customer is unable to provide reasonable evidence of the required timber maintenance, including the application of protective oil every 6 to 12 months.
6. Glass Components
-
Glass panels or doors are only covered for defects or breakage reported upon delivery.
Sauna Warranty: What Will Void the Warranty
Your warranty will be void if:
1. Misuse or Improper Operation Occurs
-
Towels, clothing, or items are placed on or near the heater.
-
The sauna is operated with broken components or non-functioning heaters.
-
Ventilation holes are covered or obstructed.
-
Excess water is introduced inside the sauna (e.g., entering wet or pouring large volumes of water onto the heater).
-
Towels are not used on seating or flooring surfaces.
-
Electrical appliances are used inside the sauna.
-
The sauna is installed or operated outdoors or in an uncovered space without a genuine Psycle Outdoor Roof Kit fitted.
-
Power boards, extension cords, or 15A adapters are used as permanent power solutions.
-
The sauna is used for non-wellness or commercial purposes.
2. Installation or Maintenance Is Incorrect
-
The sauna is not installed or operated according to the user manual.
-
Timber surfaces are not cleaned or maintained regularly.
-
The sauna is connected by anyone other than a licensed electrician, or is connected to a circuit that does not meet Psycle’s specified requirements, including a dedicated 32A circuit. Faults arising from non-compliant, shared, or DIY electrical supply are not covered.
3. Unauthorised Modifications or Repairs Occur
-
Any modifications or alterations not approved in writing by Psycle.
-
Repairs performed by unlicensed or unauthorised persons.
-
Drilling, cutting, screwing, or fixing into the timber panels, cladding, frame, or glass, including the fitting of aftermarket locks, bolts, fixtures, or accessories, which voids cover for the affected component and any resulting damage.
4. External Factors or Natural Events Cause Damage
-
Damage resulting from rodents, pests, flooding, fire, or natural disasters.
Cold Plunge Warranty: What's Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
-
Normal wear of seals, fittings, or cosmetic components.
-
Water quality issues resulting in scaling, corrosion, or clogging.

-
Tampering with internal components or opening the device housing.

Failing to use supplied hanging systems or mounting hardware correctly.
Delivery, Inspection, and Transit Damage
The customer or their authorised representative must inspect the product at the time of delivery. To preserve cover for transit-related damage:
-
Any visible damage to the packaging or product must be noted on the consignment note or proof of delivery before it is signed.
-
All transit damage, including concealed damage, must be reported to Psycle Group in writing within 48 hours of delivery, with clear supporting photographs.
-
Claims for transit damage reported after this period, or where the delivery was accepted and signed for as being in good condition without noting damage, may not be accepted, except as required under the Australian Consumer Law.
4. Extent of Warranty
This voluntary warranty applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferable, except as required under Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
The warranty may not apply if the product has been resold, relocated, or modified without written approval from Psycle Group. This does not affect your ACL rights.
Replacement units or repaired components carry only the remaining balance of the original warranty period. The warranty does not reset or extend after replacement.
Statutory consumer guarantees under the ACL apply in addition to this warranty and cannot be excluded or limited.
Your Rights Under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
